Summer weather be damned.
Brooklyn Beckham, son of David and Posh, is the rare celebrity spawn who’s done everything seemingly right. There have been no scandals, no tumultuous relationships with Disney Channel starlets, and, impressively, no bad outfits, either. The kid knows how to dress (something tells us it’s genetic).
The last thing you want to hear about this time of year is the plethora of jackets out there. But the fact of the matter is not everyone lives in places where warm-weather (see: sometime Beckham family residence in London) is a given and it the beach does get a bit chilly at night. Oh, and, thanks to the fact that fall-winter clothes start hitting stores right about now, it may not be the worst thing in the world to start getting that fall coat inspiration at the ready.
Luckily for us, Beckham is doing his due diligence by showing us what, exactly, we should be saving up for come October. Last night, at the Serpentine Galleries Summer party, he tossed on a brown, suede jacket over a dusty green henley, black jeans, and gray suede Chelsea boots, a look that was casual enough for warm-weather, but cool enough for a fancy art party. The night before, while out at Christie’s, he wore a Ralph Lauren varsity style jacket with a denim body and leather sleeves, plus a white tee and black jogger pants.
For now, enjoy the fact that worrying about a jacket isn’t part of your daily agenda—unless you’re Brooklyn Beckham. But it sure can’t hurt to keep tabs on the outerwear options that will, no doubt, be part of your daily decision-making process soon enough.
