Easy to say after possibly committing a little treason.
Donald Trump Jr., or as his dad will begin calling him, “Who? My son? I think you mean Eric. Or maybe Barron? That’s all of them.” went on the
propaganda wing of the Republican party Fox News earlier tonight to talk to Sean Hannity, a man who loves two things: karate and whatever Donald Trump tells him to love. These marked Trump Jr.’s first public comments since it was revealed that he knowingly met with a Russian lawyer whom he knew was working on behalf of the Russian government and who claimed to have damaging information about Hillary Clinton. A fact that Trump Jr. himself confirmed when he tweeted his email exchange about the meeting. Another way of putting that is “he tweeted the paper trail that confirmed there was an attempt to collude with a foreign adversary’s who was trying to influence our election.” So yeah, bad day for the guy who is somehow a lesser version of his terrible father. Anyway, he was on Hannity and you wouldn’t believe this but Donald Trump Jr. said he “probably would have done things differently.”
How low is the bar that “I probably would have done things differently” is a stance that someone can take with potential treason? That’s how screwed this administration is. Here’s a good rule of thumb: If “look, we all make mistakes” is your best defense, then the thing you’re being accused of better be stealing your roommate’s food, not working with a foreign government to swing an election. And the lowest lowlight in an interview full of them?
Did he ever meet with any other people from Russia? He doesn’t know, but probably.
