Trending News: The Rock Finally Admits Why He Oversold Every Stone Cold Stunner
Long Story Short
The Rock finally admitted that he oversold Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Stunner. But only because they’d bet cases of beer on it.
I remember wrestling with my friends after school, and somebody was always going to drop a Stone Cold Stunner, and somebody was always going to pull out a Rock Bottom (the recipient would have to pretend a bit because the Rock Bottom is pretty weak move).
But in real life — or whatever gray area wrestling falls into — every time the Texas Rattlesnake would kick the People’s Champ to the midsection and go for his infamous Stunner, you knew what was going to happen. The Rock would flip around like a live fish and collapse in a heap. Can you smell what The Rock is cooking? He’s cooking up defeat.
But decades after the glorious bouts between two of wrestling’s best, The Rock has finally explained why he oversold every single Stunner so damn hard.
On his podcast, Hannibal Burress’s podcast called out The Rock for being the best at overselling his opponents’ moves.

So The Rock responded.

Amazingly, Stone Cold also took the time to respond.

Of course it was over beer. We’re talking about Stone Cold here.
Man, how cool would it be to be a fly on the wall for those backstage beers.
Hold on, maybe being a fly isn’t such a good idea around Stone Cold (listen to this whole clip and thank me later):
